And So It Begins...Again...Embracing Change With Grace!

Hello You Amazing Human,

Its been a hot minute since I started my LinkedIn Newsletter/Blog...well, actually its been over 2 years...but if I'm honest my life has been in a constant state of change since I set my sights on sharing a monthly newsletter here with you all.

Welcome to my NEW and REVIVED monthly newsletter ''The Kindset Mindset''!

You will find snippets of info on self kindness, kind leadership, organisational wellbeing, holistic wellbeing, good reads suggestions (huge book lover here) and anything else that I feel called to share that I think might make your world a little happier and more sunshiny.

Since I sent my last newsletter, we have sold our beautiful home in the Adelaide Hills, moved states (and back), spent 3.5 months in a caravan travelling with my husband and 2 kids down the East Coast of Australia (highly recommend this if you ever have it on your list of 'to do's'), I commenced working at a wonderful new workplace as an internal Senior P&C consultant, opened a new business called Wild and Woo (more on that in future newsletters), continued to work as a Kindness and Connection Consultant in my wellbeing consultancy, Metta Leaders AND successfully navigated a cancer diagnosis/treatment/survival process. Phew!

If I'm honest, its been a lot. However, what I've learned is that we are far more resilient than we give ourselves credit for and change can bring with it some amazing opportunities.

Life is filled with twists, turns and unexpected events and sometimes they unsettle us! But what I do know is that change gives us opportunities to grow, stretch, learn and experience new things. Often difficult, but usually interesting!

A few things I've learned over the past 12-18 months about change:

  • It is an inevitable part of life, especially in this dynamic world around us. Whether it's a restructuring, new leadership, or technological advancements, change can often bring uncertainty and resistance.

  • Embracing change with grace can make all the difference in navigating these challenges.

  • One key aspect of this is cultivating a kind mindset. This involves approaching change with empathy and understanding, recognising that everyone may have different reactions and concerns. By showing kindness towards ourselves and others during times of change, we create a supportive environment where people feel heard and valued.

  • Being adaptable is crucial; instead of resisting or clinging to old ways, an adaptable mindset allows us to embrace new ideas and approaches. It enables us to see change as an opportunity for growth and innovation rather than a threat.

  • Embracing change with grace requires patience, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn. It allows us to navigate the challenges that are presented to us more smoothly, empowering a positive and productive work environment.

Until next time, be kind to yourself.

Oh, and I promise that I'll be scheduling these newsletters/blog posts and it will NOT be another 12 months until you hear from me again :)

Kindest,
